Offshore wind contractor Cadeler has officially taken delivery of its new Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV), the Wind Mover, from Hanwha Ocean. This significant milestone marks the completion of the second vessel in Cadeler’s advanced M-class series, a crucial addition to its specialized fleet. Notably, the Wind Mover arrived approximately one month ahead of its anticipated schedule, showcasing efficient project execution.

Key Milestones for the Wind Mover
The formal handover of the Wind Mover occurred on November 28, solidifying its transfer to Cadeler. Following this critical administrative step, the vessel promptly set sail from the shipyard on December 2, beginning its journey towards its operational base.
Currently, the Wind Mover is actively en route to Europe. Upon its arrival, it will immediately commence its inaugural offshore wind project, a pivotal assignment that highlights its readiness and capabilities. This deployment will contribute directly to the ongoing expansion of Europe’s renewable energy infrastructure.
Cadeler has taken early delivery of its new Wind Mover, the second M-class Wind Turbine Installation Vessel, from Hanwha Ocean. The vessel is now en route to Europe for its inaugural project, significantly boosting Cadeler's capacity to install larger offshore wind turbines and support global renewable energy expansion.
Enhancing Offshore Wind Capabilities
The early delivery of the Wind Mover underscores both Hanwha Ocean’s shipbuilding efficiency and Cadeler’s strategic fleet expansion. As the second vessel in the M-class series, it significantly bolsters Cadeler’s capacity to undertake complex installation projects across the globe.
Cadeler positions its M-class WTIVs as essential assets for the burgeoning offshore wind sector. These powerful vessels specifically install the industry’s increasingly larger wind turbines. Such capabilities are fundamental to achieving global clean energy targets and accelerating the transition to sustainable power sources.
